Geraldene was born and raised on the Navajo Nation and is passionate about reflecting indigenous voices and culture in the built environment. Geraldene is an architectural designer with 10 years of professional experience. Her background includes architectural design of community facilities, trauma-informed spaces, housing, K-12 schools, and higher education schools. Additionally, Geraldene's experience includes tribal community engagement, community engagement in rural and urban communities, and community and site planning. She's had the privilege of working with the following tribal communities: Navajo Nation, Hopi Tribe, San Ildefonso Pueblo, Santo Domingo Pueblo, Santa Clara Pueblo, Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, Yakama Nation and Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. Geraldene also serves as an adjunct lecturer at the University of New Mexico School of Architecture + Planning teaching undergraduate and graduate architectural studios.
